Needless, to say, this man requires no introduction for many already have an idea of this man's views and philosophies. But for those of you who haven't heard of David Icke, I would say that the reason why I found this interview interesting is because he doesn't expand too much on what it is that has seemingly been the source of his notoriety, and that would be his belief that the world is being secretly controlled by a race of giant lizard people running around as humans and playing the puppet master behind world government. Not to the discredit of the man, but I personally subscribe to the notion that, while being an alien-like reptile in disguise is a troublesome charge against the character of a political leader, the claims are as relevant as the character charges of, say, "Bohemian Grove" attending devil worshippers. In other words, these side issues can and do distract from what's really going on. That is what I enjoyed about this interview with David Icke in particular. Whereas David can provide abundant information on the secret race of reptiles, he eloquently and sensibly describes much of the world situation and other behind-the-scenes occurrences that the majority of Earth's population do not pay attention to, or don't understand. Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with everything the man has to say, especially on par with the reptile agenda, but I do believe there is a possibility for some of the other ideas, such as a world-wide police state. David Icke describes some of these things in this interview as well as other famous theories like the human chip implants, as well as the theory of corporations running governments from behind the scenes without the general population being able to see that money regulation is what is pulling the strings of world affairs from declarations of democracy to declarations of war. As with all issues of parody, I call them such because the mainstream news wishes not to regard these matters as part of what is broadcast, I encourage research. Please enjoy.

Over Your Radar Setlist

Over Your Radar Setlist 05/25/09
Host: Michael Aaron

. This is an amazing piece of literature & I'm pleased to see the format still used by contemporary artists. Nothing more could be expected from iconic poet, songwriter & musician Leonard Cohen. I really appreciated this, and thank Jack for bringing it to my attention. There were several posts for this clip all over the web, this particular clip I found at "one heck of a guy." I love the balance of this performance and how Mr. Cohen is able to evoke both silent gasps of awe and laughter at the same time. Truly, great, one could only wish to be so affective. And certainly, that is one thing Mr. Cohen is, masterfully so. The poem "A Thousand Kisses Deep" itself evokes so much imagery, so many powerful spells, draws on the heart with its honesty and tenderness and humility. A truly amazing feat. Please enjoy.

Ode to Obama by Amiri Baraka

When I found this I was tickled pink. This is something worth taking your time to watch and listen. I was quite surprised, honestly, I hadn't expected to find this. Apparently the Associated Press asked several poets to hand in an innaugural poem--even San Antonio powerhouse Sandra Cisneros, LOL, but I think she didn't do it (something about not getting enough sleep or something). Anyway, it was very cool to get Mr. Baraka's views on our dear new leader. Of course, it doesn't take a lit-hound or upper class PhD to figure out the message here. If not I hope visual expressions are helpful. Or key words. Or maybe his vocal tones. Anywho-- some lines are key (I mean, if you think about it):

"Our struggle/ self determination/ is always by the moment/ is on us / always / as our skin is gleaming / inside & outside / with the fulfilled beauty of promise"

"with all this mountain pile of wrong / backward / dumb / dishonest / boring / filthy thing / you or they / have created / this thing that we / us / I have hated / it cannot be a surprise / that someone else should see this world / through their own eyes"

I'm pretty sure this is the issue (or one of 'em) that Obama needs to address. This piece is originally titled "Imagine Obama Talking to a Fool." So, obviously, at least to me anyway, our liberties should be the key issue, first. With that thought in mind, Alexander's poem is just that, a praise song for the day, but what about the next day?

One World Government & the New World Order

In the ever expanding world of the Internet, there are new hives and sects of people who share their life via video on YouTube. You would be surprised to note that there are also hives and sects of people who do nothing all day but, in a bored stupor lolly-gag on sites like YouTube just browsing around aimlessly and searching for something entertaining. Here's a clip I recommend viewing in your useless hours of uselessness. If you can get passed the scriptures at the beginning, you're in for an interesting view. Now, you may wonder what the heck this is about, or you may have heard some of this. I thought I would review it and share it with you because these clips come, for the majority from reputable sources, sources that some would deem worthy of citing. Now, why is this topic important? I suspect mostly because according to this film, the world is supposed to be formulated into a single world format. I guess, one country for one world, or something like that and that would include business, money, food and other facets of life and work. This is an idea that many are becoming aware of and it is splintering in some areas of the United States. Where as the rest of the world is pretty much already in motion with this "New World Order" idea, the United States is not because in order for the United States to partake in this one world government, I guess that would mean America would have to give up some power, among other things. The United States and the North American continent would be key in an idea like this. Why is it important to Americans? Because Americans should be able to decide if they want to give up the sovereignty of their nation for that of another's. According to this video all of this stuff is already in place and America will become like the EU (European Union); the idea for this is the North American Union, a combination of Canada, Mexico and the United States. I guess this could work, but that would mean there would be change in rules, quite possibly a change in Constitution. I guess the only reason it is important for Americans (as opposed to the rest of the world that is already in it) to be concerned is because they are still free of it. But then again you might wonder why things like the Patriot Act-- which takes away several of our Constitutional Rights could ever get by Congress-- after all they swore to protect the Constitution, not outsmart it and make it obsolete. I suppose it would have been okay if they had just told us they wanted to make a one world type government, maybe one in which American standards exist for all (?). This is all a very big idea. I don't expect too many can take it in, let alone digest it, but I don't think that doesn't mean they shouldn't try to find a way to understand it. There are some pretty crazy things that the United States government can now do to you legally if anything corrupt or anti-American should happen in our government. The riding word is "if". The thing that sucks the most about this is that even if they do succeed in doing this one world order thing, and with all the world's banks collapsing and Gordon Brown going around telling everyone to take more money from the government which are supporting the collapsing banks with taxpayers money they may tell us to make a world bank to support everyone (but with these stipulations), the government will still be paying for the overhaul of the entire world with the money that the people will have to pay via taxes whether they like it or not. It would seem that this plan is gonna happen anyway regardless of what anybody says so I just hope they're nice about it.
